How to apply?

Apply to Aboriginal Affairs

Aboriginal Affairs looks for you in government records and

contacts you if they can’t find you

The Minister decides if you get compensation or not

Aboriginal Affairs asks you:

• for your bank details

• if you want to give a

statement and receive a

personal apology.

If the Minister decides

you don’t get

compensation you can

ask Aboriginal Affairs to

review their decision.

Refer your clients for

legal advice

Tips if you become worried that

your client may be subject to

financial abuse

If you owe money or

have fines, speak to

a lawyer

Ask a lawyer

to help you

write a will

financial advisor
