ForewordIn this auction calendar you will find a few examples from the circa 5000 works of art which we successfully auctioned in Cologne in autumn 2015. We hope they will offer an impression of our abilities in the interests of our clients. The Contemporary and Old Master paintings departments were particularly successful – with regards to the Old Masters, we belong meanwhile to the five leading art auction houses worldwide.

Our 218 year history has been documented in detail by the former museum director Dr. Werner Schäfke, and published by DuMont. The trade edition, featuring original prints by Gerhard Richter and Gerhard Marcks was sold out after two months. The book is still available to buy at Lempertz.

We are now preparing the spring auctions 2016 and look forward to receiving your consigments by the beginning of March. Please note that early consignment enables us to conduct an even more thorough art historical research of your works of art. We hope you choose to place your trust in us.

With warm regards from Cologne, Berlin and Brussels.
