Rapp Bomek has been producing and developing Fire and Blast Proof doors since 1978. We have gradually increased our level of business to todays activity where we are now Europe's leading manufacturer of fire-rated heavy, medium and light duty steel doors to offshore and onshore installations. Together with our sister companies, we are in a position to offer the full range of fire doors (from A0 to H120) on a worldwide basis.

The company is situated in Bodø in Northern Norway and has 97 employees and annual turnover of USD 31 million. We have direct logistic lines to major ports and airports in Europe and close cooperation with all major European transport companies. We are a DNV approved manufacturer with MED-D certificate according to European Marine Directive and we have approved internal control procedures within the guidelines of ISO 9001 and therefore guarantee quality to our customers. We are also holding some certificates from: Lloyds, USCG, ABS, B.V. and Russian M.R. of S.

• Firetested after exposed to blast test, which proof that our blast doors fulfill fire requirements after being exposed to a blast situation.

Gas Tightness.

• Fire doors leak tested to NBI test procedure.

• Leak rates Hinged doors are down to 0,1m3/m2.h at 50Pa positive or negative pressure.

• Leak rates Sliding doors are down to 0 m3/m2.h at 50Pa positive or negative pressure.

•Keep gas leakage in drilling/production area out of living quarters and electrical rooms.

Sound Reduction.

• Fire doors tested according to ISO 140/3

• Single hinged doors meets sound claim Rw = from 35dB to 51dB

• Single sliding doors meets sound claim Rw = from 23dB to 45dB

Doors for outside areas:

Normally HD type. MD can be used in areas less prone to bad weather. For FPSO’s, FPU’s and FSO’s the combined fire rated / weathertight door is and alternative.
