Vocabulary
Grammar - Imperatives
• Positive forms use the infinitive• e.g. Press ‘delete’ to remove the file.• Negative forms use Don’t or Never.• e.g. Don’t /Never leave the photocopier on overnight.• Imperatives are used in the following ways .• ·To give orders or instructions • e.g. Call the engineer if it doesn’t work .• ·To make informal requests • (often made more polite with will you?)• e.g. Pass me that pen, will you?

• some and any are used in the following ways .• Some refers to an unspecified quantity.• e.g. We’ve got some new computers.• e.g. I don’t like some of their products.• Any refers to a complete lack of something .• e.g. There isn’t any coffee left.• Any is used to form questions.( Some is also used in polite
