On April 11, 2011, I made a presentation to Chapel Hill Town Council in asking them to make revisions to the Sign Ordinance.

Transcript of Presentation on Sign Ordinance to Chapel Hill Town Council

Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce

now representing over 1100 members with over 80,000 employees

The Chamber is not advocating for this.

But this doesn’t work.

This sign may work for Nationwide. But it doesn’t work for UPS.

Color and branding are important.

Some businesses use their vehicles.

Or put up yard signs.

But we think that we can find signs that work.

This is a sign in Orange County, however the Chapel Hill ordinance would not allow different color backgrounds.

But we think that we can find signs that work.

This sign shows a uniform color background, however the town of Chapel Hill would most likely not have these big box retailers.

Thank you for your time.
