Biography Was first woman and first muslim

architect who was awarded the distinguished Pritzker Architecture Prize in 2004

Became the first woman to be awarded the RIBA Gold Medal in her own right.

Was born in Baghdad, Iraq in the year of 1950(31 October), Dame Zaha with her medal and three of her designs: the

Heydar Aliyev Centre in Baku (top), the Aquatics Centre in London (middle) and the Maxxi Museum in Rome

Biography Father-Muhammad al-Hajj Husayn Hadid,

was a wealthy industrialist from Mosul, Iraq. 

Mother-Wajiha al-Sabunji, was an artist from Mosul

Studied at the Architectural Association School of Architecture, London in 1972

Plays with the curve and lights in the buildings and in her every work

On 31 March 2016, Hadid died of a heart attack in a Miami hospital

Exterior The landscape emerges from the

ground to blend with the building. A cut of the barrel at the front of the

housing carries the glass doors that open to a corridor of whiteness.

The project has a terraced landscape that provides alternative routes and connections between the public square, construction, and underground parking.

Interior The ground floor has several spaces lobbying

aimed at creating public places that unite the different aspects of the program of the center

Floors turn into ramps and walls, twisting into soffits and ceilings

The Library is oriented north to take advantage of natural light and has its own entrance.

Plants tumble over one another with ramps which connect, creating a continuous circulation path.

Library is connected to the conference room through a bridge that 'fly' over the entrance hall

The Library and Museum are also connected by a ramp

Interiors A grand stairway inside the center leads to one of its many levels

Interiors The backlit oak panels in the conference center’s 1,000-seat auditorium bring warmth to the otherwise vividly white interior.

Interiors The ground floor has several lobby spaces intended to create public venues for uniting the different aspects of the center’s program.

color, along with symbolising the bright future, 

white cements produce clean, bright colors, especially for light pastels.

Light reflects from the white walls and make walls to glow
