What a Waste!

A Campaign to Reduce, Reuse, and Manage Waste at Move-Out Time

What do you see dumped at the curb?

• Recyclables• Reusable

household goods

• Household hazardous waste

• Things that don’t belong in the waste stream

So What?

• Blight—begets more blight

• Students and other residents feel bad about where they live

• Terrible message about the UMN neighborhood

• Tons of reusable goods go to landfill

• Scavengers break up and scatter the trash

• Hazardous waste is released into the environment
