CBM : Potential & Challenges• The importance of increasing our energy resources, including

augmenting CBM production was highlighted by Sh. Anil Razdan, Independent Director, HPCL, former Secretary, Power & Special Secretary, MoP&NG while chairing a session at New Delhi on November 8, 2013. The key speaker of the session was Sh. Prashant Modi, President & Chief Operating Officer, Great Eastern Energy Corporation Ltd. who addressed an invited audience on ‘CBM: Potential and Challenges’. The lecture was organized by PetroFed in its series of Guest Lectures and Thought Leadership Programmes since GEECL is one of the pioneers in CBM exploration in India and became the first Indian company to commence commercial production of CBM in 2007.

• Mr. Modi comprehensively covered the subject bringing out the measures that need to be taken to optimize CBM production in the country.

The presentation by Mr. Modi was followed by an intensive Q&A session when he patiently answered a host of queries.
