Print as many Pattern Templates, (also referred to as a
sloper), as you need. The Pattern Template page is right
after the exercise page.
Cut out the Pattern Templates, or slopers, saving the
darts for last or until you're ready to practice.

Lesson 3
Sloper Image
In this lesson, we learned how to use darts to add seams to our
pattern. We also added gathers to our seam area in the blog post
tutorial. The sloper image on the left shows how our Practice
Template would look if it were sewn. Remember, our Practice
Template/Sloper has shoulder darts and waist darts.
Instructions: Compare the exercise images to the sloper image above to identifyhow darts have been changed or removed. Using your Practice Template/Sloper,combine and change the dart as indicated by the image. For these exercises we'reonly using the Slash/Spread Method. Click here to check your answers. Don'tpeak!
