The core construction is Fully mitered, Step lapped.V, in 3 steps and five (5) sheets per book. Sheets offset is 6.35 [mm](-12.7, -6.35, 0, 6.35, 12.7 [mm]). Specific losses accepted at 1.7[T] and 60 [Hz] are 0.685 [W/Lb]. Estimated losses at 1.62 [T] (100% Voltage) are 316 [W]. Estimated losses at 1.78 [T] (110 % Voltage) are 462 [W].
Chamfer the tie plate outside edges by 0.125[in]After the core is fully assembled with the core insulation, tie plates and clamps, the supplier must test the Insulation Resistance at 1000 [ V DC] for one minute. The reading should be minimum 10 [M Ohm]. A copy of the test sheet must be sent to PTI for approval prior to shipping.

Industry Leader Pioneer’s 70,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Reynosa, Mexico contains state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment, certified testing labs and a scalable production layout to adapt to changing market conditions.
Miter Core ConstructionAll cores are designed and built using a step lap miter core construction. This design minimizes losses for maximum efficiency, quiet operation and superior performance.
Vacuum Pressure Impregnation All transformers go through a vacuum pressure impregnation (VPI) process to ensure complete absorption of the polyester resin and the elimination of all air pockets for complete protection of the conductor, superior strength, design integrity and performance.
Custom TerminationsPioneer offers nine standard termination configurations. We can also design and build custom configurations for your specific application assuring the proper installation with other equipment.
