PAUL REVERE was an extraordinary man, as one should know if they are reading on him, as the
key point in the revolutionary war, and known for his famous cry the british are coming. But what else
couldandisheknownfor?
Born and named Paul Revere (see figure 1.1 to direct left),
January 1st 1735. and raised in North End, Boston,
Massachusetts, Paul was raised in a good family. His father,
Apollos Rivoire, later changed to Revere as a family name,
being a French immigrant, migrated to the US earlier. His
mother, Deborah Hitchborn was a simple shop owner under the
family business. For his early life Paul was no extraordinary
person, a good artist but no more. Paul happened to be the third
oftwelvechildrentoApollosandDeborah.
Paul's father was a strict member of the Puritan church Paul

Paul was an okish, student to be fair, he didn't enjoy working
in schools and prefered out of school education at thirteen, Paul deserted school and went to be an
apprenticeforhisfatherthenasilversmith.
While working in the silversmith's shop by his father, Paul had close incomings with the,
Boston parties. Soon after, he became directly involved with the Boston Partie for political activism.
His father did not provide any support to this cause whatsoever. In specific, according to his writing,
Paul, could live a life of his own and become a political activist after and only after his father passed
and the silversmiths business was in his hands although too young to own the business. His father was
52.
In 1756, Paul enlisted in the Provincial Army and left his home to serve, this was also the time
of the French and Indian War. Paul would serve less than seven years and return home to claim his
silvershop.
On August 4th 1757, after marrying his wife, Rachel Walker, he and his wife would bring into
this world a Deborah Revere, the first of the following ten Paul Revere Jr., Sarah Revere, Mary
Revere,ElizabethRevere,IsannaRevere,JoshuaRevere,JohnRevere.

IN THE ARMY Paul Revere became a skilled spy, and industrialist, and from previous work was an
entrepreneur and business person, along as an engraver all of which would prove useful for his future
life.
There are three main actions Paul is remembered for, and that has granted himself a state of
honor in the United States Historical Society, of which are his famous Midnight Ride, the capability
of tate of the arc intelligence reception, also known as spying, and
hisdutytoservefortheFreedomandBostonRebellion.
Paul's first main actions how ever are the last points, of
activism and support of the Boston Rebellion against the British.
As a young activist, Paul was known primarily for his publication
andengravings,(seetheillustration,1.2directlyleft).
Paul's most influential and remarkable engraving was the
Bloody Massacre imagery directly after the unremarkable and
unfortunateBostonMassacre.
An engraving is called such, due to the technique of etching
into a plate of metal, the diagram and shapes in reverse, and
filling the cavities with ink, later pressing a piece of paper into the plate to extract and reversing

Paul Revere's, second most remarkable objective was his spying acts upon the British parties,
harbored in the then colonies. Spy and Activist, paul became a central member in the decision making
during the Revolution and would also be an agent of change. Paul's most extraordinary feat and work
on his spying career was to discover the plot to invade Boston, and to alert bostonians during his most
famousride,calledtodayPaulRevere'sMidnightRide.
As most people can recall from history class, his words the british are coming, may have been
the waking eye for this country, and who knows where we would be without Paul's Ride. Waking up

Pauls Revere, known by its title, however was not one of midnight, but only past dark at
sometimefrom9to10pm.
By alerting the mallisia paul revere unsuccessfully stopped an order posed by Lieutenant
Colonel Francis Smith, with utmost expedition and secrecy to Concord, where you will seize and
destroy... all Military stores.... But you will take care that the soldiers do not plunder the inhabitants or
hurt private property. Still the british took the city of concord, but Rever happened to be a changing
2
point in the war on America. Paul changed the exchange of messages and was the first midnight rider,
and a ghost. Though the rebellion failed once Paul would not give up, and again and again he would
help others rebell and restrain efforts against America. His efforts though would later help win the war
againstBritainandwinthesentenceandphrase,allmenarecreatedequal.
POST WAR Paul would become an altraexperienced entrepreneur and salesperson in his shops,
along as a manufacturer of church bells, cannons, and copper products, along with his old passion of
silver.
Paul would also turn to be a very influential politician, though never getting to president, he
heldofficefortheBostonPartie.

HIS LEGACY Rever would die in May 10th 1818, at 83 years, but his story will never die till we
stop honoring our founding fathers for our country. An artisan, silversmith, politician, and spy, Paul's
life was never fought in vain, his is buried in Granary Burying Grounds, on Tremont Street. But his
