Our Manufacturer's Supplement Flavoring Statement

Garmon's Chicken Flavor Allergy Statement

In dogs the most common food allergens are beef, dairy, wheat, egg, chicken, lamb, soy, pork, rabbit, and fish. Basically protein sources. Some dogs can be allergic to more than one thing according to Dr. Susan Wynn an internationally known

expert on holistic pet care and on the boards of the American Academy of Veterinary Nutrition and the Georgia Veterinary Medical Association.1

Foods and treats can have a combination of these ingredients making an isolated allergy diagnosis difficult. We suggest

if you suspect that your dog may be suffering from a specific chicken allergy, you contact your Veterinarian. They will help you to come up with a plan for determining if chicken is the exact cause of your dog’s food allergies.

The chicken flavoring, or palatant used in our products is made from USDA inspected chicken liver and heart organs.

They are “hydrolyzed”, processed and partially digested, leaving very little of the reactive proteins available. By NOT having a full protein mass it can be used in "hypo-allergenic" diets by many major dog food manufacturers.

It is approximately 2-5% of our total product formula, which means it is far less than one half of 1% of their total diet.

Please be sure to discuss with your Veterinarian the source of the chicken flavoring that we use. And when in doubt, with your Veterinarian’s approval we suggest using a partial dose to observe possible allergic symptoms, and then decide to use or discontinue use.
