What are Nonvascular Plants??

What are Nonvascular Plants?

Nonvascular plants don’t have a well developed system of tubes for transporting water and other materials

Soo…..…They live in watery surroundings -Constant water source-Helps during reproduction

3 main groups of nonvascular plants

Mosses

Liverworts

Hornworts

Mosses

Mosses

The sporophyte grows out

of the gametophyt

e

The capsule contains the spores for reproduction

Rhizoids are root like structures that hold the moss to the earth

Why are mosses important?
