guest passes for friends and family to visit the Sports Center. See your
consultant to pick up your passes. You may also request a pass online
under “My Membership” by clicking “Request a Guest Pass.” Please note
that Guest Passes are $50, so be sure to request your passes online
or collect them from your consultant ahead of time to avoid paying the
Guest Pass fee.

ATMs
A Capital One ATM is located near the locker room entrance.
Bicycles
Bicycle racks are available for day use in the Chelsea Piers complex.
To gain access to the secured bike cage, electronic keys are
available for a $15 deposit at the Front Desk. Overnight storage is
not permitted in the bike cage. The Sports Center is not responsible
for members’ personal property. Bicycles are not permitted in the
facility unless a rider is scheduled for a bike fitting or sports training
service. In-line skates, skateboards and scooters may not be
ridden in the facility. If you have a fold-up bike, please fold it up in the
downstairs lobby, prior to entering the elevator or stairwell.
Coat Check
Complimentary coat check is available for members and guests at the
Front Desk. Members may check items such as hats, bike helmets and
scooters. All other items must be stored by members in the locker room.
Club Policies & Etiquette
Please respect your fellow members and abide by the following club
policies and etiquette guidelines. Members or guests who fail to abide
by these, and all other posted policies pertaining to facilities and pro-
grams, may have their membership privileges revoked.
1. Please refrain from talking on your cell phone in any areas of the
club outside of the Café and main lobby and be mindful of your
voice level as a courtesy to others while conducting a call.

2. Proper athletic footwear and attire must be worn at all times
throughout the club.
• See-through apparel, torn clothing or clothing with offensive
language may not be worn in the club.
• For safety purposes, athletic footwear must be worn in all areas
of the club, with the exception of the pool, locker rooms and sand
court. However, proper footwear must be worn when traveling to
and from these areas.
• A robe, towel or appropriate apparel must be worn to cover
swimwear when traveling to and from the locker room and the
pool/sundeck areas.
• We suggest wearing appropriate water shoes in the locker room
wet areas for the personal safety and health of you and your
fellow members.
3. Please keep conversation to a minimum while using the sauna or
steam room. Tampering with sensors or temperature controls is pro-
hibited. Misconduct or inappropriate behavior in the sauna or steam
room is not tolerated.
4. Management is not responsible for any members’ or guests’ prop-
erty. Do not leave valuables in lockers. Complimentary small lock
boxes are available at the Front Desk to secure valuables.
5. If you have any questions about the proper use of any sports or
fitness equipment, please request assistance from any member of
the staff, who will find the appropriate person to assist if they them-
selves can not. For your own personal safety, members and guests
are asked to be mindful of physical limitations while exercising.
Member Experience Department
Our dedicated Membership Services Associates are available to assist
you with any questions you may have about your membership, Monday
through Friday from 9:00am - 7:00pm. For questions about billing,
viewing/managing your account online and freezing your membership,
contact the Membership Services department at 212.336.6090 or
scbilling@chelseapiers.com. Should you have any comments, questions
or concerns about your experience at the Sports Center, please email the
Member Services Director or Manager at sportscenter@chelseapiers.
com. An appointment can also be requested at this email address.
Family Day
Members are invited to bring their children (ages 15 and younger) to
enjoy the club every Sunday from 9:00am — 2:00pm for a fee of $5 per
child. See the Family Day rack card for guidelines. Families are asked
to plan the day’s activities, including lunch, in order to depart the facility
prior to 2:00pm.

House Account
Members may open a House Account for charging services, merchan-
dise, and food and beverage at the Sports Center. The account is billed
monthly to the form of payment on file. If you did not set up a House
Account when you first became a member, you may complete a Billing
Change Form at the Front Desk to set one up.
Locker Rooms
The Sports Center locker rooms offer a full range of amenities. For your
relaxation, protection and privacy, the use of cell phones is prohibited
in the locker rooms. Additionally, as a courtesy to others, and in ac-
cordance with the Department of Health, food is not permitted in the
locker rooms. In an effort to be environmentally conscientious, please
be mindful of your water usage in the showers and at the sinks. Please
adhere to facility closing times: the showers close 15 minutes
before the club closes.
• Rented Lockers are available on a monthly basis with a 3-month
minimum rental period. Please visit the Front Desk to rent a locker.
Locker Policies are described in the rental agreement.
• Day Use Lockers are available for complimentary use. The
Sports Center is not responsible for members’ or guests’ prop-
erty. Small security lockers are available at the Front Desk to
secure small valuables. If you do not rent a locker, please do not
leave items in lockers overnight as management reserves the
right to clip unauthorized lockers and remove unauthorized be-
longings. Please refrain from placing belongings above lockers or
hanging items on the locker handles on the outside of the door. Do
not store wet/damp items in or outside of lockers.
• Towels & Robes are provided in the locker rooms and smaller
towels are available in various areas of the Sports Center. As part of
the club’s ongoing green initiative, please be conscientious of your
towel usage.
• Grooming Aids are provided in the locker rooms for your
convenience, including shampoo, conditioner, moisturizer, razors,
cotton swabs, mouthwash, hair products and hair dryers.
Member ID Cards
Members must present their ID card at the Front Desk for admittance
to the club. A replacement fee will be charged for lost/damaged cards.
Members can also scan their ID card on their phone via the Sports
Center app (see page 15).

Online Account Services
Members can access online account services through the website
to make payments, change personal and billing information and get
attendance reports. The “Member Login” page can be accessed from
the lower left hand corner of any page within the Sports Center website.
Parking
Discounted parking debit cards, which are similar to an EZ Pass, may
be purchased; applications are located at the Front Desk and are pro-
cessed within 2 business days. Any specific parking inquiries, issues or
questions about an existing debit card account should be directed to
North River Property at 212.336.6755. On occasion, the Pier 60 park-
ing lot can get busy due to business needs complex-wide. Please refer
to Parking Alerts posted on our “Newsfeed” webpage.
Paul Labrecque Salon & Spa
Known for award-winning hair, skin, nails and massage services, a
friendly and experienced staff will cater to your every need with excel-
lent customer service and reliable on-time appointments. Open daily.
Appointments are recommended. Gift cards are available. Sports Center

Sports Equipment & Apparel
Basketballs and volleyballs are available on the courts for your conve-
nience. As a courtesy to other members, please replace balls on racks
after use. Members are responsible for lost or damaged equipment and
may be charged accordingly. Other items to enhance your workout are
available for purchase at the Front Desk, including swim gear and hand
wraps. Essential apparel items are also available at the Front Desk in-
cluding t-shirts, shorts and socks.
WiFi & Computer Station
The Sports Center provides free high-speed wireless internet connec-
tivity (WiFi). The network password may be obtained at the Front Desk.
Two computers are located near the entrance to the locker rooms for
email access, as well as access to your online account, allowing you to
easily manage your membership.

The Personal Training Team will guide members through the Path to
Fitness Success so you can get the most out of your experience at
the club and continually progress towards your health and fitness goals.
Following the recommended path – outlined below — we will pair you
with a personal trainer to fit your current level of fitness or sport of
choice, pulling from our roster of skilled and experienced trainers. All
Sports Center trainers are CPR-certified and hold certifications from
at least one of the major personal training organizations in the fitness

1. Complimentary Training Session: As a new member, you
are encouraged to take advantage of a complimentary per-
sonal training session! This is a foundational step on the Path
to Fitness Success that will get you acquainted with the fa-
cility, equipment and offerings so that we can help build the
framework for a personalized workout experience for you.
Complimentary training sessions may be used for Pilates, boxing,
rock climbing, swimming or training in the sport or activity of your
choice. All sessions are 1 hour except for swimming, which is 30
minutes. One complimentary training session per member.
2. Introductory 3-Pack: (one time only) Designed as a more in
depth jumpstart to your fitness pursuits, the three 1-hour sessions
will be used to assess your current level of fitness, discuss your
health and wellness goals and give you a comprehensive initial
training experience.

Aquatics & Pool Programs
The Sports Center is home to a 6-lane, 25-yard, competition-style
indoor swimming pool. With an adjacent oversized whirlpool spa,
floor-to-ceiling windows and plenty of deck space for relaxing, the
Sports Center’s indoor pool is a destination for swimmers looking for
outstanding aquatics facilities and programs. The Aquatics Department
provides an extensive range of programs and activities that appeal to
swimmers of all experience levels, from beginners to elite competitors.
The Aquatics Department offers one-on-one personal training* and
group classes for beginner, intermediate and advanced swimmers. The
pool is home to a Masters Swim Team and triathlon programs, with
weekly practices. Specialty swim workshops are offered from time to
time during the year for an additional fee.
Swimmers are expected to observe all posted signs indicating lane
availability, lap speeds and general pool policies. Various swimming
equipment, including kickboards, fins and flippers are available for
use. Bathroom facilities and a semi-exposed shower are located
at the pool. Swimmers must rinse off in the pool shower before
getting in the pool or hot tub. Bathing caps are required in the pool.
A lifeguard is always on duty. Pool depth ranges from 4-feet to 4-feet,
6-inches. No diving permitted. Swimmers must check in with the
lifeguard on duty to assist in proper and safe lane entry. Cell phone
usage is not permitted in the pool area or on the sundeck.
Basketball & Sand Volleyball
The Sports Center infield features three hardwood basketball courts
and the only indoor sand volleyball court in the city. Members enjoy
pick-up games, individual shooting, weekly games with friends and
specialty classes. Personal trainers also utilize the basketball courts
and sand volleyball court for cross-training purposes, sport-specific
exercises and numerous individually tailored workouts. Basketballs and
volleyballs are available on the courts for daily use. Please be sure to
refer to the posted schedules or specified “Level of Play” guidelines for
the sand volleyball court and posted rules for pick-up games on the
basketball courts. Schedules are subject to change. Various training
equipment is located near the sand court, for functional training
purposes. Please ask for assistance if you have any questions about
the equipment and always work within your abilities.

Boxing
The Sports Center is home to a state-of-the-art boxing facility,
equipped with a regulation-size ring, heavy and speed bags, and a
team of world-class boxing coaches. The Boxing Department offers
private instruction*, group boxing classes and group fitness classes for
beginner, intermediate and advanced boxers.
For your safety, sparring is not allowed without a Sports Center instructor; shad-ow boxing and focus mitt training, however, are permitted. Boxing shoes or flat sneakers with no tread are required footwear in the boxing ring.
Cardio Area
More than 100 of your favorite state-of-the-art cardiovascular exercise
machines can be found in the Sports Center’s 6,000-square-foot
cardiovascular fitness training area. The Cardio Area also features
weight machines, and stretching and functional training areas. For
your pleasure, we offer a variety of TV and music options on all cardio
equipment. Each unit can be used with standard headphones. Cell phone
use is not permitted in the Cardio Area. Sanitizing wipes are provided
for your convenience to wipe down equipment before and after your
workout. Additional cardio equipment is located on the Strength Deck.
Cycling
Perched on the Mezzanine level and surrounded by floor-to-ceiling
windows, the Cycle Studio features 36 Keiser bikes, the MYZONE
heart rate monitor system, 60” televisions and beautiful views of the
Hudson River. Cycle classes are offered at convenient times and
provide a fun and intense workout.
Group Fitness
The Sports Center offers more than 120 classes a week with instruc-
tion from NYC’s top certified professionals. Classes include yoga, body
sculpting, Pilates, dance, strength and cardio training, and small group
training. Class schedules are available throughout the club and on our
website at chelseapiers.com/sc/classes. The class schedule may be
modified at management’s discretion and is subject to change on holi-
days and the surrounding days.

Weightlifting Area
Located on the south side of the Boxing Ring, the Weightlifting Area is
equipped with four platforms, two women’s barbells, four men’s barbells,
PVC pipes, three sets of bumper plate weights, two squat stands and
a chalk stand. The Sports Center boasts its own Weightlifting Club and
is a USA Weightlifting Certified Training Center. Please inquire at the
Fitness Desk for details or call 212.336.6099.
Pier 60 Barre
The Pier 60 Barre Program offers a variety of barre classes to tone,
tighten and strengthen for your best mind and body. Classes are led
by experienced instructors in a serene, single-studio space, which is
located on the cobblestone roadway just south of the Pier 60 entrance.
Barre studio access is not included with all Sports Center member-
ship types. Contact scpier60barre@chelseapiers.com to sign up for a
complimentary class.
Pilates
Based on the work of Joseph Pilates, Pilates promotes core stability
and the development of long, lean muscles. The Sports Center Pilates
Program offers a variety of training options for all levels. Start with
one of the many Pilates Mat classes offered each week or enroll in a
Group Pilates Reformer class. Private and semi-private sessions are
also available.* Reformer classes and training sessions are held in the
Pilates Studio, located adjacent to the Rockwall. To learn more, visit

Rock Climbing
Experience the excitement of climbing on the Sports Center’s
11,000-square-foot indoor climbing wall, one of the Northeast’s largest,
featuring ropes climbing, bouldering cave and wall, and an over-hung
competition roof. The Climbing Department offers private instruction*,
climbing schools, climbing equipment rentals, and top roping and lead
climbing belay certifications. Members are expected to abide by all

posted safety rules and procedures and failure to do so will result in a
loss of climbing privileges. Climbing and bouldering are not permitted
during non-climbing hours. See Club Information section for hours.
Complimentary Belay Certification for Members
Weekdays: 7:00pm; Weekends: 3:00pm
All members who would like to climb outside of a lesson or school are required
to become belay certified.
Open Climb
Reservation required. $65 per climber. Open to non-members.
Enjoy 1 hour of ropes climbing with a group (maximum of 4) under the
supervision of an experienced Rockwall instructor. Harness and shoe
rental included.
Climbers may be grouped together during Open Climb reservations as they
are not private.
4-Week Climbing Schools
$125 for members. Open to non-members.
Schools offered include Beginner Climbing, Adv. Beginner Climbing,
Bouldering and Lead Climbing, and Lead Belaying. Check our website
for school schedules, offered monthly weeknights and weekend days.
Equipment is complimentary for members. Equipment rentals are avail-
able for non-members.

Running Programs & the Track
With two tracks (a 1/4-mile and a 200-meter banked competition
track), the Sports Center offers world-class instruction for beginner,
elite and masters runners. Please jog/walk according to the posted
direction of the day. The Sports Center Running Program offers private
instruction* and complimentary group running classes.
Strength Deck
The Sports Center features Manhattan’s largest and most comprehen-
sive strength-training facility. The 14,000-square-foot Strength Deck
features the latest equipment and a 2,000-square-foot turf training
field. Sneakers must be worn on the Strength Deck at all times.

Studio X
Located adjacent to the Rockwall at the east end of the track,
Studio X is the 1,000 square-foot home of SurfSET Fitness and
Row Xpo classes. Designed with a coastal vibe, the space hosts more
than 20 surfing-inspired and rowing-focused classes per week. Classes
are open to all members and require advance registration. To view the

Sundecks
The Sports Center has two sundecks: one is located on the western tip
of the club, adjacent to the pool; the second is located on the south side
of the club, adjacent to the third basketball court. Lounge chairs are
available for use. The sundecks are open seasonally, May 31 to October
1. For your convenience and enjoyment, smoking and cell phone use
are not permitted. Children are not permitted on the sundeck.
Triathlon & Performance Training
The Sports Center, a USAT Certified Training Center, offers triathlon
training programs for every level of athlete, from novice to expert,
including 8-week training programs and the Full Throttle Endurance
Racing Team.

The Performance Center, a state-of-the-art training space located in the
Cardio Area and designed for competitive athletes, including cyclists
and triathletes, features eight CompuTrainers, custom bike fitting, video
gait analysis, and VO2 Max, lactate threshold and metabolic testing
capabilities. Athletes secure a competitive advantage by gaining insight
into and fine-tuning race strategies. Performance Center services are
open to the public and Sports Center members receive a discount on
select services.

Sports Center Mobile App
Download the Sports Center app to view the class schedule, sign up for
classes and much more, all from your iOS or Android device. To access
the app and to sign up for classes that require advance registration,
members must set up a MindBody Online account. To get started, visit

Sports Center Café & Sushi Bar
The Sports Center Café, which is operated by Abigail Kirsch and the
Pier Sixty Event Center, provides a wide selection of gourmet foods,
designer drinks and healthy food options. Food is not permitted outside
the Café area. Members may not bring in or order in food from the
outside to eat in the facility.
