Downloading
NetBeans IDENetBeans IDEInstallation Setup
To download the latest version of NetBeans IDE Go to it’s official website http://www.netbeans.org
Click on the button “Download NetBeans IDE”

In the download section of NetBeans, there are various NetBeans bundles having different sets of Supported Technologies, You can download any according to your need, for full support you shall download the “All” package which is having all of the supporting features
for Java web-application, you can download “Java” package, from 3rd column
Click on the “Download” button to start the download of the relevant bundle

You might be prompted with some security alert, blocking the download for you
it use to be a yellow bar, prompted on the top of the webpage
right click on the bar and select “Download File”

The page would be refreshed, and now Downloading is being enabled by your browser .. If the download do not start automatically, use the link “download it here”

You would be prompted with “File Download – Security Warning” dialogue box
Click on the “Save” button to download the Installer file

The “Save As” dialogue box would be prompted,
Here you can specify the path where you want to save your download,
and the File name for the downloading file.
Click on “Save” button to
continue the downloading.

The time utilized to download depends on the size of the file and the internet downloading speed …

Before you begin the Installation of NetBeans IDE 6.x
You must have installed and configured Java Development Kit JDK 1.6x
You can follow VOSSComVOSSCom’s’s Java Installation Guide to get help in installing the JDK

Once you have successfully downloaded the NetBeans Installation setup file
You can now begin the Installation
Double Click on the Installation Setup file to start the NetBeans Installation

click on OK button to continue

Click on Next button to continue the setup

License Agreement Dialogue box would be prompted,
Do check the “I accept the terms in the license agreement” checkbox
Click on Next button to continue the setup

Here you can specify the Installation path for NetBeans IDE
It is recommended to keep it default
Also you must specify the path,
where JDK has been installed
Normally the setup would
automatically get this path
click on Next button to continue

If you have choose “Sun GlassFish Enterprise Server” to be installed
It’s installation dialogue box would be prompted …
Specify the Installation path in this step
I would recommend that you
shall change it from default to
“C:\Program Files\Sun
\GlassFish Server”
Keep the admin username and
password as default
Click on Next button
to continue…

It is recommended to keep the path as default
Click on Next button to continue the setup

Which is recommended to be kept as default path
Click on Next button to continue the setup …

If you need to change anything, you can click Back buttons to re-configure your installation options and paths
click on Install button to
begin the installation process
