My Arrival• I came to Austin’s Colony from the lively . It was a hard trip but me and my family came unharmed.
My Arrival
• Its almost time for my first investment I’m
trying to get 1840 acres. Their if 1 male my
wife 3 lovely kids and 5 great slaves. The land
payment is $73.60 .
1822
• We had a harsh my little boy got a terrible
cold. All my cattle died and the lively was so
nobody got there supplies.
1822• Its time for my first investment I spent $600
200 on cotton 200 on lumber and 200 on
cattle. Cotton and cattle did not do so good
but lumber was awesome.
1823
• The lively sank today in a terrible accident.
The Mexicans over export of cotton did not
give us any but a good year for cattle.
1823• It’s the 2nd year for a investment. I paid $1,200
$400 on cotton $400 on cattle and $400 on
lumber.
1824
In 1824 the colonies thrived through the
year with high demands of lumber. It had
a bumper cotton crop.
1824• For my last investment I put $1,575 on crops.
$575 on cotton because we needed some
$500 for lumber and $500 for cattle.
My Town
• This was a very successful trip I’m glad I came.
We will not go back when we are doing so
good I love it here and so does my family.
My Conclusion • I live in Gonzales and I have don’t all my
investments and in the end we still have
$2,100 left over.
