Serving

Philippians 2:8

And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.

CHRIST WAS OBEDIENT.

Luke 2:51

Then He went down with them and came to Nazareth, and was subject to them, but His mother kept all these things in her heart.

Romans 5:19

For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man's obedience many will be made righteous.

John 10:17-18

(17) "Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again.(18) No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father."

Hebrews 5:7-8

(7) who, in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His godly fear,(8) though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered.

WHERE DO WE NEED TO BE OBEDIENT?

Children to Parents

Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is well pleasing to the Lord. (Colossians 3:20 NKJV)

Workers to Employers

Bondservants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh, not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but in sincerity of heart, fearing God. (Colossians 3:22 NKJV)

Obedient and Submissive to Elders

Obey those who rule over you, and be submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you. (Hebrews 13:17 NKJV)

Obedient to Civil Government

Titus 3:1-2 NKJV - (1) Remind them to be subject to rulers and authorities, to obey, to be ready for every good work,(2) to speak evil of no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing all humility to all men.

Above All, To GOD

Philippians 2:12 NKJV - (12) Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;

Revelation 2:10

Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.
