iPhone 4 vs iPhone 5What’s the big difference between the iPhone 4 vs. iPhone 5 besides price and being a ‘new’ toy? Here’s your comparison list! Mind you, the jury is still out on whether the upgrades are worthy of the hype.
SIZEiPhone 5 has trimmed down—its 28 grams lighter than the iPhone 4 while still maintaining its slender physique, noted as the thinnest smartphone on the market.
DISPLAYiPhone 5 has an expanded 4in display with a Retina detection. It’s screensize is now a 16:9 aspect ratio, a great bonus to those gamers and movie watchers.
STORAGE AND MEMORYRAM doubled in the iPhone5 to 1GB but retains the same storage capacity as the iPhone4S with no microSD slots…
PROCESSORiPhone5 is sporting the new Apple A6 chip claiming to be twice as fast in graphics performance.
SOFTWAREAlong with a new chip came the latest mobile OS, iOS6 improving interactions with Siri and native mapping as a few of the new 200 features.
CAMERABoth have 8 megapixel cameras but the iPhone5 offers improved focusing and faster photo capturing. In addition, FaceTime Camera has a backside illumination sensor.
BATTERYNo change… Disappointing...
PRICEiPhone5 is approximately $100 to $300 more than the iPhone4
CONNECTORChanged for the iPhone5. Using a new, smaller charger called ‘lightning’, it’s a big disappointment for those with speakers and other adapters for other Apple products.

Janet Bodnar, Kiplinger’s Personal Finance, shares her most practical and effective strategies for spending less and keeping more cash in your pocket.
1. Start right away. Don’t wait till you make more money. The more you make, the more you spend.
2. Start small. It will add up to big piles of money over time.
3. Write down your goals. That makes them more real, and you’re more likely to achieve them.
4. Have your boss (or your bank) save for you by taking money off the top of your check for retirement or some other goal.
5. Set up an account for each goal -- retirement, vacation, car, new computer -- so that you can track your progress.
6. Deposit your paycheck into your savings account. You’ll think twice before you take out money.
7. Subtract your credit purchases from checking right away so that you’re not surprised when you get the bill.
8. Toss spare change into a glass jar on your dresser and watch your money grow.
9. Give yourself an instant reward: Each time you pass up that latte, toss the money in your cash jar.
10. After you pay off a loan or bill, keep writing the check and send it to a savings or investment account.
