L o c a t i o nNeosho, Missouri is located in close proximity to Interstate Highways I-44 East/West, I-49 North/South, and along US 60. Neosho is 30 miles southeast of Joplin, MO; 75 miles southwest of Springfield and the Springfield-Branson National Airport; 110 miles northeast of Tulsa, OK; and 187 miles south of the Kansas City International Airport. The area is rail served by two Class One railroads, KCS (Kansas City Southern) and BNSF (Burlington Northern Santa Fe). Neosho Hugh Robinson is the local airport.

Town population is 12,105 and the Newton County population is 58,000. The primary Industrial center is Neosho Industrial Park that consists of an employed workforce of roughly 3,000. Neosho has long been a regional manufacturing and distribution center and the Park is home to major employers La-Z-Boy Midwest, Jarden Consumer Solutions, NutraBlend, Crowder College, Scholastic, Inc. and K&S Wire.
