SPORTS DAY
This is an early edition of this weeks newsletter. I wanted to make
sure that it was out before we do the class swap on Friday.
This year we are saying goodbye to a couple of members of staff.
Mrs Broughton is leaving at the end of the year. Since moving to
south London Miss Broughton has travelled for a couple of hours
everyday to school, we thank her for that but understand that she
has found a school closer to home.
Miss Paterson only joined us in September but is heading off to
Asia to teach English. We are looking forward to linking with her
new school on the internet.
Kate Johns who has been at the school for over 12 years has
decided that she would like to be a secondary teacher. We wish
her all the best and know that she will be amazing in secondary
school and will be greatly missed at Mission Grove.
On Friday the children will meet their new teachers and a list is on
page 4 of this newsletter.
EARLY NEWS LETTER
Tomorrow is our annual sports day. Please make sure that your child is
in their house colours. Feel free to wear them to show your support if
you are joining us. See you at Douglas Eyre at 9.30am.

Well done to all of the children in House Farah.
We introduced the House Points this year. The children not only
have a class name but they are in an Olympic Hero House too.
They can earn house points for a whole manner of things,
politeness, hard work, attendance, punctuation, completing home-
work and much more. The house points are collected from the
whole school. This year the winners were House Farah. The reward
was a trip to the Olympic park. Children in Years 3 to 6 also got to
go on the Orbit slide if they wanted.
Thank you to everyone who supported the summer fair. It was
another successful day with £1,600 being raised for the cinema
dome. Check out the website for more photos. Also, here are
some photos of the children at the Olympic park.
