Mineral ISBI recap chapter (1-10)

NOTE:

I’ve decided to make this ISBI more plotty. So this is a recap for all of those who don’t care about the observational stuff I’ve done before, just so you know who the characters are. For the rest of you, who’ve already read it, there’s no need to read this. Thanks!

Also, I’m on slideshare now. Cool!

Disclaimer: The pictures suck. ‘Nuff said.

This is where we began. My computer doesn’t handle the 5x5 lots well, but I probably should have subtracted money :P oh well.

The founder was Olivine Mineral, a Pleasure sim.

It was pretty easy to keep her happy.

She quickly met and fell in love with Goopy.

Goopy, however, had some problems adjusting.

Ah, engagement.A happy moment for Olivine. That’s it.

Then they got happily(ish, come on, it’s Goopy) married.

.

First baby bump!

At this point the house got remodeled. Wooh, a box!

This is also when we started playing the “Will Goopy Reach His Carpool” game. He often didn’t.

Baby Aegirine Mineral was born in the bathroom, as is so common. His nickname is Aeggie.

Goopy had conflicting emotions about the event.

This is a familiar sight, as often if the NTH made it to work, by the time they got home they were so exhausted they would pass out on the sidewalk.

Aeggie grew up with quite possibly the most frightening glitch I’ve ever had.

He also began the tradition of the “Reach for the -1000”.

This is what I like to call “The Puddle-Tantrum incident”.

Aeggie was an adorable child. I assumed Goopy’s children would be ugly, but they truly weren’t.

The nanny was truly a lifesaver. You don’t know how many times her making food saved Goopy or Aeggie from starving.

The custom content watermelon I have is also a huge help.

It was incredibly easy to keep Olivine happy. There was a tiny pool that she would get into and swim for a moment, then go bowling, then go DJing, then go juggle bottles. Instant platinum!

Then she became pregnant again…

And had twins named Chalcedony and Jadeite.

In the meantime, Aeggie grew up into a considerably less cute teenager.

He did grow up his siblings, though.

Herein entered what has become the “Room of Death.” It’s not there anymore, though.

Another “Reach for the -1000”.

Chalce grew up well, however.

I have no sympathy for the adults that pass out on the sidewalk, but I feel so bad for the kids.

Yes, that’s right, Goopy. I don’t care about you.

Meanwhile Olivine grew up in exceptional clothes, I might add.

Then Chalce and Jadeite grew up.

For me, Chalce was an obvious choice for the next torch holder. First off, he was the best looking of the three. I loved Aeggie, but he was never the cutest. And I hated Jadeite.

And second off, look at these three. Chalce is the happy one. Aeggie and Jadeite, however, aren’t.

Aeggie, therefore, grew up and moved up. He looks weird here, but…

This is actually what he looks like. Sorry for the sucky picture.

.

Then came what I call “The Great Homework Conquest.” You see, Chalce and Jadeite’s homework got so piled up that it was EVERYWHERE and their aspirations were taking a hit. So in one weekend alone, Olivine helped them get it all done.

Then Jadeite and Chalce grew up, adopting Goopy’s signature stare.

Chalce got a job in the medical field. I should probably note Olivine topped Culinary, and Chalce eventually topped medical.

He moved in Christy Stratton.

At this point the house was majorly remodeled. Here you can see the entry way, the “living room” of sorts, the spare bedroom (later an office) the two bathrooms, the master bedroom, the kitchen/dining room, and the family room with the ever-present bowling alley. (Front to back)

Christy continued the streak of both having a hard time at work...

…and passing out on the curb. Don’t let this fool you, however; she was the best NTH I’ve had to date. She was an okay mother and even made several group meals!

Chalce, however, didn’t care too much about her.Again, don’t let this fool you. He loved her a lot.

He proposed to her and she accepted.

Then I saw this above Olivine’s head.

Goopy had passed away in front of the easel. He never finished his painting.

I should also point out that somewhere around here I killed Benjamin Long in the room of death.

Christy got a makeover. I normally hate the cowboy shirts, but she totally rocked them.

I held this whole big wedding for them too.

Then, sadly, Olivine passed away. Right after she got home from work, too. She was one of my favorite sims: hardworking and loyal, but still a Pleasure sim at heart.

Christy, however, became pregnant soon after Olivine died.

However, it was a hard pregnancy.

And then as soon as she gave birth, she dropped little Cassiterite on the floor.

With the arrival of the new baby, the house was remodeled to add a second floor.

Here there is Cassie’s room, as well as other space where eventually other rooms were added. I didn’t want to delete the whole thing, but it was too hard keeping track of all the sims on both levels. So now the staircase is gone, but it’s still intact.

Cassie grew up into a toddler...

…and then a child.

Christy became pregnant again.

And when she gave birth, it was a family affair.

And then out popped a little girl, Almandine, nickname Almie.

Cassie continued being cute.

Almie then grew up into a toddler, and I decided Cassie would be the torchholder.

Cassie grew up into a teen, and her resemblance to Olivine was striking.

Almie continued the trend.

…and this one, too.

Chalce, meanwhile, elderified.

As did Christy.

Then the nanny nearly burned our house down.

Later, Olivine- excuse me, Cassie- grew up and became the torch holder.

She moved in Renaud.

He got a makeover, which, call it what you will, but it fits him so well.

Cassie proposed.

…and they got married in the living room, just like their parents.

And you all know what this means.

Later, Christy passed away...

...and Cassie developed mind reading powers.

Later, Chalce passed away- where else?- in the bathroom.

And right after that (to the hour) Cassie gave birth in the office.

The little boy was named Andradite, or Anders.

Now here’s where it gets bad. I installed Freetime, hence the hobby room. But then came a ton of times where my game crashed- you don’t know how many times I’ve seen Andradite grow up into a toddler.

So. Let’s join these three next time around, where hopefully SOMETHING will happen!

Cheers,-Night
