Mike Darby and the House of Cards Band started in

2007, playing gigs in a small New Orleans bar

called Check-Point Charlie on Saturdays.

Since they didn't

come on until at

least until 2 a.m.,

locals referred to

this madness as

"Darby till Dawn"

or "Sunday School

with Reverend

Mike Darby."

Playing these late night gigs turned out to be a big plus in

the band's development.
