All About Me

My name is Mikayla.

My favorite food is ice-cream.

I like to play my DS and dance.

I have entered for junior master chef every

Year.

Passions

When I grow up I want to be a chef or a ballerina. To learn to be a really good dancer.

Interests

I’m interested in dancing and cook for my family and friends.

Needs

I need help with my times tables also a bit of my reading.

PIVOT STICK FIGURE & MOVIE MAKER

• I learnt how to use Pivot Stick Figure Animator. I had to make a mini movie making about 300 or more slides. It was important to make my characters only move a little bit each time so that they looked realistic.

• I used the program Paint to design backgrounds for my movies. I then imported the backgrounds into my Pivot movies.

• When I was finished, I imported my work into Windows Movie Maker

where I put it all together making a Title and Credits slide.

• I enjoyed this because we got to create a background for the movie and it was as if we were making a real movie.

• Scratch is a new programming language that makes it easy to create interactive stories, games, and animations. With Scratch, you can create characters that dance, sing, and interact with one another. Or create images that whirl, spin, and animate in response to movements of the mouse.

• I was given a number of sessions to explore the program and its possibilities. I worked my way through a series of teaching cards and a beginner’s booklet which assisted in developing the necessary knowledge and skills required.

• Creating a Scratch project requires thinking of an idea, then figuring out how to break the problem into steps and implement them using Scratch programming blocks. Throughout the design process, I engage in experimenting and interactive problem-solving. I was challenged along the way. Taking an idea and figuring out how to program it in Scratch requires persistence and practice.

I was required to:1. Plan a short game, story or animation and were required to document details2. Use the program to create an interactive game, story or animation using the programming blocks to create the scripts for each sprite. What challenged me the most was ….What I enjoyed the most was …
