1 TWO SILVER DISCS WITH TABSDraw two 18mm circles each with a 5x9mm tab on the
20-gauge silver sheet. Draw one 5x8mm hole on each
disc, 2.5mm from the edge opposite the tab. Use thejewelers saw and #1/0 saw blade to cut out the discs. For
the inside hole, drill a small pilot hole first just inside the
hole outline, then saw out the shape. File the edges, then
stamp with a nail set to decorate. Lace one tab through
the hole in the other disc and bend the tab into a loop
with the tips of round-nose pliers to connect the two
pieces. Bend another loop in the remaining tab [figure 1].
2 BRASS SQUARE TEXTUREDraw a 20x20mm square on 20-gauge brass sheet.
Use the jewelers saw and #1/0 saw blade to cut out the
square. File the edges smooth and round the corners.
Texture the square with a center punch. Drill a hole in the
center of the square with a #55 drill bit. Make a rivet with
16-gauge copper wire. Make 2 other holes to attach the
square to the necklace with jump rings [figure 2].
3 SILVER STAPLE ON DAPPED DISKUse the copper 18-gauge 45x14.5mm oval blank. Use a
center punch to texture one side of the copper oval. Use
a sterling silver 20-gauge 15mm disc blank. Drill 2 holes
6mm apart in the disc with a #55 drill bit. Dap the disc in
dapping block to dome. Center the disc on the copper oval
piece and use the holes in the disc to dr ill matching holesin the copper oval. Bend 1" (3.81cm) of 16-gauge round
silver wire to form a staple. Insert the wire in the holes on
the disc, dome-side first, pass through the holes in the
copper oval, then spread the wires and use round-nose
pliers to make small loops on the ends. Press the wires
flat against the back of the copper oval. Drill 2 additional
holes for your jump rings [figure 3].

4 CAPT URED PICTURE WITH BOLTSUse 1 copper 20-gauge 32mm disc blank and 1 copper
20-gauge 32mm washer blank. Texture the circles with
your texturing tools. The top piece has the windowto view the image; the bottom piece is solid. Use a #53
drill bit to drill 6 holes in the top piece where you will
connect the top and bot tom together, and 2 additional
holes for your jump rings. Tip: If you are going to add a
patina, do it prior to bolting. Cut your image and plastic
sheet protector slightly smaller than the top disc size.
Sandwich the image and sheet protector bet ween both
pieces of metal; secure tightly in a ring clamp and drill
through all layers. Use six 0-80, " hex bolts to thread
through all the layers (bolt head on top). Add the washers
and, with two miniature wrenches, secure the nuts.
Saw off the ends of the bolts and file flush with the nuts
[figures 4 & 5].
5 TELESCOPING BOLT INSIDE SILVER
DAPPED DISCDraw a 13.5x26mm rectangle on 18-gauge silver sheet.
Use the jewelers saw and #1/0 saw blade to cut out
the rectangle. File the edges and round the corners.
Drill 4 holes in the rectangle with a #55 dr ill bit. Make
four 16-gauge copper wire rivets in the rectangle. Use
a sterling silver 20-gauge 15mm disc and drill a center
whole through the disc with #53 drill bit. Place the disc
over the rectangle and drill through the first hole and the
rectangle. Dap the silver disc into a dome shape. Attach
the disc to the rectangle with a brass 0-80, " fillister
bolt, washer, and nut. Saw off the end of the bolt and rivet
