FAIRBURY Flags will be placed around the
perimeter of the courthouse at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 23 and taken down at 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 26 by local veteran’s organizations.
Fairbury Cemetery at 10 a.m. on Memorial Day with fly-over, Flag Raising to half-staff, Salute to Departed Comrades and Taps by Honor Guard. Scouts and Girl Scouts will not be attending this years service. Public may observe from their vehicles.
STEELE CITYDue to COVID-19 there will be no
formal ceremonies. Flags will be displayed on graves May 22-26.

will be honoring the veterans graves on Sunday, May 24, at Cub Creek Cemetery at 9:45 a.m.; Hope Cemetery at 10:45 a.m.; Zion Cemetery at 11 a.m.; Harbine Cemetery at 11:15 a.m. and Jansen Cemetery at 12:15 p.m.
PLYMOUTHMemorial Day services will consist
of 1 Memorial Service at the Veterans Memorial in Plymouth. It will start at 10:00 am. Social distancing practiced. There will be no services at the various cemeteries. No potluck dinner.
