Medical Research
What is medical research?
Is the basic research, applied research, or translational research conducted to aid and support the body of knowledge in the field of medicine.
Medical research can be divided into two general categories
The evaluation of new treatments for both safety and efficacy in what are termed clinical trials.
And all other research that contributes to the development of new treatments.
The medical research is also call preclinical research, and its goal is specifically to elaborate knowledge for the development of new therapeutic strategies.
The increased longevity of humans over the past century can be significantly attributed to advances resulting from medical research.
Benefits of the medical research
Vaccines for the polio, insulin treatment for diabetes, classes of antibiotics for treating a host of maladies, medication for high blood pressure, improved treatments for AIDS, stains and other treatments for atherosclerosis, new surgical techniques such as microsurgery, and increasingly successful treatments for cancer.
Other type of Medical Research
Is the Medical Tourism
What is the medical tourism?
The Medical tourism refers to the practice of a patient going for healthcare services to an area outside of his or her home country.
But this practice has its Advantages and
Disadvantages
Advantages
The first and most outstanding advantage of medical tourism is one that has to do with the relationship between cost and quality.
Also enjoy the attractions that a country can offer, many times the medical costs are much lower than in the country of origin of the visitor.
Disanvatages
Going to foreign country for medical treatment has its own risks as the country you go to may not regulate professional licensing and certification of the medical professionals.
Or if something goes wrong during the medical procedure you will have very little legal recourse.
