Question 1 - Age

• My magazines target age market is 16-24• 53.6% of responses (26) were aged 16-19,

with 14.29 people being age 20-23 (7)which means the data collected is likely to well represent my target market well. The majority of my target age range was under 19, which could lead to some bias towards the bottom end of my age range.

Question 2 - Gender

• My magazines main target audience is male• 82.35% of my responses were male (42)

compared to just 7.84% (4) women. This means data collected gives an accurate representation of my target market.

Question 3 - Ethnicity

• My target market ethnicity is British.• In my survey, 93.18 (41) responses were

Caucasian with 1 being multiple ethnicities. • This follows my target market and as a result

my results will be useful for the target market.

Question 4 – How often do you read magazines each month?

• I plan to release my magazine monthly.• The most popular result is once a month at

30.61% (15) of responses. This shows a monthly magazine is more likely to be popular as the most people only read one per month.

Question 5 – Do you read music magazines?

65.31% (32)of my responses do not read music magazines compared to 34.69% (17) who do. This reduces the number of useful responses to my survey.

Question 5 – How many times do you read music magazines per month?

With 72.22% (13) of responses reading music magazines monthly, a monthly music magazine would be best for my target market as that’s the most common purchasing frequency.

Question 9 – How often do you want the magazine to be published?

The most popular answer at 51.43% (18) responses shows that a monthly music magazine would be most effective because that is the most popular response.

Question 10 - How much would you be prepared to pay for a music magazine?

Charging a more competitive price is a popular result, with the most popular price being £3.40-£3.80 with the second most popular being up to £3. This shows that this is the maximum price most people would be willing to pay and that lower prices would attract a higher demand.

11) What genre of music do you listen to?

The most popular answers are Electronic, Pop, Rock and Indie which shows that an indie rock magazine would be popular amongst my target market. However electronic is the most popular answer, so an electronic magazine could be more popular.

12) Social Class

Aiming the magazine at a middle and working class would maximize the possible audience for my magazine. This would mean a higher potential for sales.

13) Favorite colour

To help design a colour scheme for my magazine, I asked for peoples favorite colours. Blue, green and red were the most popular so I will use some of these colours in my colour scheme.

14) Do you attend music gigs? 15) If you answered yes, how often do you attend them over a year?

75.51% attended gigs or were interested in them, this means including gig based content would be popular in my magazine. A large proportion of people attended at least 1 gig a year.

16) If you buy music magazines, what attracts you to buy that magazine?

What artists are featured in the magazine is important to weather the reader decides to read the magazine or not. As a result, featuring quality artists will be an important feature in my magazine as it will be popular.
