This is the I Choose You office where I spent most of my time working with Sarah.

Pastor Morris is the senior pastor of the Presbyterian Church of Mbale. It is directly across from the office. This is where I attended church every Sunday

The children who are part of the I Choose You Ministry all crowed into the office to get new shoes.

In the afternoon, after school was let out, people just seemed to come by and hang out in the school/church yard.

This building (only part is shown in the picture) held classrooms and the headmaster’s office. I would often see a teacher teaching class with the students sitting in the grass under the trees just behind the playground. There is a track (you can see a portion of in the picture) that loops around the lower part of the school yard. It was often used for foot races.

Making paper beads with the ladies from the I Choose You Sewing Club

Some of the ladies were sitting outside in the shade of the house. The big white bags are filled with pieces of posters, calendars, or other kinds of paper.

Left: A bowl of beads that were just rolled.

Below: one to 10 pieces of paper are laid together and rolled tightly around a needle or pin then the end is glued down to secure the bead.
