STARTING-UP THE

SPRAYER

NoRMAL HITCHING:-Adjustthe2lowereyeboltsofthesprayeraccordingtothetractor,(2methodsofassembly,byturningoverpart(1)intheloworhighposition)(figureopposite).

-Hitch and adjust the position of the sprayer.Thesprayermustbehorizontal.

-Adapt the PTO shaft (seemanualNo. 82.471 "Sprayerssafety,checksandmaintenance").

-Attachthesmallchainofthedriveshaftcoverstotheplacereservedforit.

-Placethecontrolunitorelectricunitonthetractorwithinreachoftheuser.

3-PoINT AUToMATIC HITCH:-Mount the BERTHOUD automatic hitch (1) orACCORDhitch(2)(figureopposite)onthetractor.

CAUTION: In the case of an ACCORD hitch, make sure the safety stop reference 107.259 is mounted on the chassis of the sprayer. (Adjust the play with the ACCORD latch via the screw (3). Tighten the nut on the screw (3)).

-MountpartofthePTOshaftonthesprayer.-Reversethetractorandhitch.Adjustsprayerposition.Thesprayermustbehorizontal.

-Assemble the other part of thePTOdrive on thetractor (seemanualNo. 82.471 "Sprayers safety,checksandmaintenance").

-Attachthesmallchainofthedriveshaftcoverstotheplacereservedforit.

-Placethecontrolunitorelectricunitonthetractorwithinreachoftheuser.

-Putthesprayeronaflat,hardsurface.-Putthesprayerinitsparkingposition.-Putthecontrolunitortheelectricunitonthesprayer.-DisconnectthePTOshaftfromthetractor.-RestthePTOshaftonitssupportsoasnottodamageitsprotectors.-Unhitchthesprayer.

Thislayoutcanbereviewedtoadaptthedistributionoftheflowratetotheshapeofthetreestobesprayedtherebyoptimisingthecoverage.

Inthiscase,ageneralprincipleistobeadheredto(seefigurebelow): Provide20to25%oftheflowratethroughthenozzlespositionedunderneaththeshaftofthepropeller. Provide75to80%oftheflowratethroughthenozzlespositionedabovetheshaftofthepropeller.

- Openthenozzle: Toopenit,turnthenut(3)counterclockwise. Toclosethenozzle,turnthenut(3)clockwise.

- Flow rate adjustment:Usetheadjustingscrew(1).

- Wide spray: Obtained by fully turning the adjusting screw (1)clockwise.

- Average spray:Obtainedbyturningthescrew(1)halfaturncounterclockwisefromthewidesprayposition.

- Narrow spray:Obtainedby turning thescrew(1)acomplete turncounterclockwisefromthewidesprayposition.

- Holdingtheflowrate:Inordertoholdthesameflowratewhenthenozzleisadjustedatthedesiredangle,turnthenut(2)againstthescrew(1)totighten.

- Changingtheorientationofthenozzles:Tochangetheorientationofthenozzles,loosenthehexnut(4),orientatethenozzleandtightenthenut.
