What is it we do ? Support mature students on full-time undergraduate programmes

Pre-entry (Prospective students) Post-entry (Registered students)

Work with faculties, admissions to ensure appropriate recruitment, selection & admissions policies for mature students, to ensure supports are in place for mature students Track progression and performance of mature students

Mature Students in UL A Mature Student is someone who is 23+ years on 1st January in the calendar year of proposed entry to a

full-time undergraduate programme.

• Currently there are 562 mature students registered on full-time undergraduate degree programmes

• Number of mature students taken into each degree programme can vary year to year.

Mature Student Access Certificate (MSAC)

One year full-time pre-degree programme

Applicants must be at least 22 years of age by 1st January 2016

Applications are available from the Mature Student Office.

Closing date for applications: 6th May 2016

Course fee: €500 or €100 for Social Welfare recipients or low

income. Can qualify for second-level Back to Education

Allowance (BTEA)

Offers guaranteed direct progression to a range of

undergraduate degree programmes in UL
