About meMy name is Marwa. I am an interior designer and an illustrator with freelance experience in mural paintings and portraits. I’m used to work with pencil as well as ink.
I’m currently finishing a Master’s degree and I’m looking for a second internship in The Netherlands that can provide me a relevant professional experience.

My inspirationMahmoud Darwish is a Palestinian poet. He mostly writes about love and the concept of home.
I also get inspired by music, specially sufi songs. It helps me get into a creative mindset.

Children’s cancer care houseThis was my graduation project “Care House for Cancer Children” for the bachelor Interior Design. In the process I thought about the psychology of colors and what colors would be appropriate to use for sick children. In this way, the design became part of the psychological treatment.
SpoedzoekersSpoedzoekers was a project I did during my internship with Ymere and Bodium Architecture, in Hoofddorp.
It is a building designed for people looking for a house on very short notice, like refugees, students and elderly. We designed a co-living community inspired by the shape of a beehive.
I designed the concept and the interior, and developed it through sketches.
What inspires me
Pierre Bonnard, Bather 1935
My work starts from random drawn shapes, until I see something that I like. I also take inspiration from the movements of humans. For this I look for example to short videos of dancers.
