To refer to an idea, to an action, or to something that has not yet been identified, we use the demonstrative pronouns esto, eso, or aquello. (This is the neutral gender)

None of them have an accent mark.

They are all singular.

Esto es fácil. This is easy.

Eso es difícil. That is difficult.

¿Qué es aquello? What is that (over there)?
