Project Description

• 200-acre Mixed-use Retirement Community– 1,300 units (townhomes, garden apartments/

condominiums, and assisted living facility

– 100,000 square feet of community serving retail

– Bus Transit Station

– 3 acres Parkland, 9-hole Golf Course

– Bay Trail Corridor

Project in Shoreline Band

• Current requirements: maximum feasible public access, priority use consistency

• Climate Change requirements:– Assess viability of public access in light of projected sea level rise

– In undeveloped areas, no new Bay fill for shoreline protection

Project in Bay

• Climate Change Requirements:– Assess impacts of projected sea level rise and

risks of development and design to avoid impacts and risks

– In undeveloped areas, no new Bay fill for shoreline protection

– Shoreline protection integrated with adjoining areas, mitigation provided where

necessary

Project in Salt Pond or Managed Wetland

• Climate Change requirements:– Assess impacts of projected sea level rise and

risks of development and design to avoid impacts and risks

– In undeveloped areas, no new Bay fill for shoreline protection

– New shoreline protection integrated with adjoining shoreline protection where appropriate
