• Objects that are not living and have never been alive.

Biotic

• Organisms that are living and that were once living (dead ones are included)

Characteristics of Living Things

• All living things share certain characteristics.

• If something does not have one of them, it is not living.

• The GRAMMERS acronym is used: – To be living, it must have all.
