Matthew 6 [5] “When you pray, don’t be like the hypocrites who love to pray publicly on street corners and in the synagogues where everyone can see them. I tell you the truth, that is all the reward they will ever get. [6] But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.

Don’t use prayer to try to look cool and

impress people.

#2: Find a quiet, private, distraction-free place to get alone with God

and talk to Him.

Jesus says…when you pray:

• Remember you are praying to your FATHER in heaven

• Remember you are praying to a HOLY and POWERFUL God.

• Tell God you want His WILL for your life.

• Ask God for those things you NEED.

• Tell God you’re SORRY for the things you’ve done wrong.

• Ask God to help you stay away from TEMPTATIONS.

Jesus says…when you pray:

Do you think of God as your Father who loves you? Yes or No

Can you remember what Jesus teaches us about praying?
