Myron W. Krueger

- An American Computer Artist.

- Born in 1942 in Gary, Indiana.

- One of the first generation virtual reality and augmented reality researchers.

- Ph.D. in Computer science at the University of Wisconsin-madison.

Responsive Environments

- Introduces the concept of a responsive environment.

- The response is the medium.

- “A responsive environment, is on which a computer perceives the actions of those who enter

and responds intelligently through complex and auditory displays (379).”

- His past projects (GLOWFLOW, METAPLAY, PSYCHIC SPACE and VIDEOPLACE)

VIDEOPLACE

- Funded by the National Endowment for the arts.

- Conceptual environment with no physical existence.
