• History Colorado staff has 2 outreach programs that enhance learning experiences through hands-on engagement

• Classroom teachers use these programs for field trips into their classrooms

• Librarians use these programs to enhance story time and summer reading programs

Museum-Library Collaborations and Early Childhood Education

Joint History Colorado Center (HCC) / Denver Public Library (DPL) Story Time

• Story time content centered around ECE themes in Destination Colorado exhibit

• DPL staff trains HCC staff in story time delivery techniques and early literacy talking points

• HCC staff bring touchable artifacts to DPL for a Saturday family Colorado history-themed story time

The 5 X 5 Program

Provides year-round family access to 13 of Denver's top cultural venues for nearly 3,000 Denver Head Start and Early

Head Start families, free of charge!
