Historical BackgroundBy the end of 1941, Leningrad (previously called St. Petersburg), city of Tsars, is under siege of Germans.In order to escape the blockade, Soviets had to run through lake Ladoga, the only possible supply route.The stage is set, the battle lines are drawn, and you are in command. The rest is history.Junior72 created this scenario.

Special RulesNations: the Red Army (RKKA - Nations 2) rules are NOTin effect.Troops: Specialized Units (Troops 2) and CombatEngineers (Troops 4) are in effect for Soviet infantryunits with the corresponding badges. Snipers (Troops10) are in effect in both sides.Terrains: Factory Complex (Terrain 21), Field Bunkers(Terrain 22), City Ruins (Terrain 45), The rivers and thebanks of the lake, represented by rivers, are FrozenRivers hexes (Terrain 47). The German artillery at thecenter of the map is placed on Hills with Forests (Terrain48). The Trenches (Terrain 51) rules are in effect. RicePaddies (Terrain 60) represent frozen marshes.
