Recognizing the potential pitfalls and staying up to date on the latest changes in laws and key issues is imperative in helping a church stay focused on ministry. There are six tax seminars scheduled across Texas to help churches do this. They are led by accountants who are current on church laws, practices and IRS codes.

nFive revitalization principles every church needs to experience:
• A fresh, biblically based vision from the Lord• A restored unity of the people• Mobilization of the membership to do the will of the Lord• A renewed commitment to outreach and evangelism• Life-giving empowerment by the Holy Spirit
In order to see these things become realities, we provide help for pastors, every member and the church as a whole.
God can make any church come alive, but its people must turn to the Lord and experience revitalization God’s way.Whether a church needs just a few minor changes or a total make-over, there’s a place for every church in the SBTC five-track approach.
THE RENEWAL TRACK The Renewal Track is for churches which have slowed in their growth or become stagnant and need a spiritual boost.
THE REVITALIZATION TRACK The Revitalization Track is designed for churches which have stalled on a plateau or have experienced some decline. It is particularly suited to churches that want to make changes one project at a time.
THE RE-ENGINEERING TRACK The Re-engineeringTrack is for churches which have experienced substantial decline or are
in need of a “total makeover.” The focus of the systems-oriented approach will be to get the church healthy and functional again.
THE RE-STARTING TRACK For churches “near death,” the Re-starting Track offers the hope of beginning again as mission of a sponsoring congregation.
THE NETWORK TRACK The Network Track is for churches developing church revitalization ministries and/or partnering to revitalize other churches.

Reaching Texas, Touching the World
COOPERATIVE PROGRAM
With 7 billion people worldwide, sharing the gospel can be anintimidating mission. By working together, the possibilities are endless.
Cooperative Program
• Give out of gratitude to God• Give because you love people• Give because you trust God
• Discipling believers• Reaching the lost• Obeying the Great Commission
• Statewide evangelism strategy• Texas church planting • Family/educational ministries
• Global evangelism• U.S. church planting• Training for future leaders

Request a Speaker or guest to visityour church for CP Sunday, or anytime atsbtexas.com/cp-resources-request/
THE SBTC HAS THREE CORE VALUES:• Biblically Based• Kingdom Focused• Missionally Driven
The Cooperative Program is this Missionally Driven core value…
It’s a daunting task to reach the world with the gospel, yet that is what we are called to do (Matt. 28.19-20). Individually, it’s overwhelming; but together, the possibilities are endless. When you give to the Lord, you join millions of other Southern Baptists in fulfi lling the Great Commission of taking the good news of Jesus to a world in need of a Savior.
If “two are better than one” (Eccl. 4.9), how much better are more than 40,000 Southern Baptist churches across the United States? With a global population topping 7 billion and a commission to share the gospel everywhere, we must enhance our cooperative efforts if we are going to fulfi ll Christ’s command.

When a pastor leaves, a time of transition in the life of the church begins. Many churches need transitional pastors with experience and ministry gifts that ensure
high-quality leadership. Transitional pastors are prepared to lead churches through any type of transition.
Some of the skills a transitional pastor needs are: spiritual discernment, leadership, pastoral
care, proclamation, relationships and conflict management. The average time without a
pastor in a Baptist church is 9-18 months. Transitional pastors must commit to
remaining with the church until it calls a permanent pastor.

The Forge events are designed to meet the growing needs of pastors today. These informal events are not merely information-driven, but are meant to capture hearts, foster authentic dialogue and connect pastors to lifetime friends.
Forge events are for young pastors and all who desire to see young pastors succeed. Even the “young at heart” can attend. Much like B21 and 9 marks, Forge will connect young pastors to each other through prayer and encouragement. Community, relationships and fellowship are key elements of Forge.
