Leader Ring Type Joint BXRing Type Joint Gaskets

DESCRIPTION<p>Leader Ring Joint gasketsare developed for use in thepetroleum industry and inparticular for wellhead andChristmas tree- as well asdrilling and oil &amp; gasproduction equipment. Thesesolid precision machinedmetallic gaskets, also calledand known as ring type joint(RTJ) gaskets are suitable forthe highest possible pressureand temperature duties andform together with specialgrooved API 6A (ISO 10423)type 6BX flanges a highintegrity seal. BX ring gasketsare manufactured in a specialsymmetric shape of the cross-section. The width of thesealing faces is small and highseating stresses can beformed. Dimensions of gasketsand corresponding groovesare designed in such a waythat style BX gaskets dobecome self-sealingcharacteristics. This effect isalso known as pressure

energized sealing.</p>

APPLICATIONRing Joint gaskets are widelyused between pipeline flanges,valves and pressure vessels inthe Oil & Gas industry. Highoperating pressure up to 1378bar when applied in API 6B.BX gaskets are suitable for API6A (ISO 10423) type 6Xflanges for working pressurerated 5000, 10000 and 20000lbs flanges.

CHEMICAL COMPATIBILITYCorrosion and chemicalresistance are depending onthe selected RTJ gasketmaterial. For pressure andtemperature range we refer toTechnical Specifications, asper table 1.

DELIVERY OPTIONSBX shaped RTJ gaskets areavailable in ring numbersBX150 up to BX303. Specialgaskets in non-standard

dimensions can bemanufactured upon request.Soft Iron and SS316L arecommon stock materials, othermaterials are also available,please refer to table . Thesegaskets are designedaccording to the API 17D (ISO13628-4) norm. This variant isdesigned for subseaapplications. Please consultLeader for further informationregarding specific productinformation.
