Hello everyone and welcome! There are lots of
exciting free activities and events happening in your
local communities for everyone to get involved in.
This is a great way for us to stay in touch, to share
information and to share our stories. I have listed a
few upcoming events, please come along to these and
be inspired by what your community has to offer.
Please pass on the information to your family and
friends.
Please come along, meet new people, make new
friends, enrich yourself and your community.

Building our Active Community
I have been out and about building
relationships with schools, community
centres, churches and individuals who
are delivering services and support to
residents in their area, such as Eddie
at Lozells Community Centre, Joy at
Soho Community Centre, meeting the
team of Soho First at their AGM, Uroy
at Wallace Lawler Centre and giving
out free bikes to local people who had
registered with Birmingham Bikes in
Handsworth Park.
In March, the team went into St.
Francis' Catholic Primary School,
Lozells for their Health Week and
delivered a day of fun children’s
activities such as badminton, archery,
cycling and for Smoothie Bike. We will
be returning in June for Clean Air
Week with Run Birmingham; Active
Streets and Active Parks, so I will keep
you posted.
