Step 1
• Completed Application Form• Statement of Purpose• Two recommendation letters (in Ukrainian,
Russian or English)• Diploma or official transcript• 2 photos 3 cm x 4 cm• Copy of a passport
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE• Statement of Purpose- discusses your purpose
for applying to KSE MA program(s) as it relates to your academic/professional goals.
• Your statement of purpose should demonstrate that your interests and experiences are aligned with the KSE MA programs’ offerings.
• It is also a way for the KSE admissions officers to see how you think, either by your evaluation of your prior coursework and other experiences, and/or by your presentations of new ideas that you wish to pursue at KSE and beyond.
• In general, we expect 1-2 single-spaced pages (standard font, 12pt, 1” margins).
STATEMENT OF PURPOSEBe Unique:
Do not state the obvious (“because KSE has the best MA programs”), or sink too much in the clichés (“expand my knowledge”, “boost my
career”, etc.), think of what makes KSE the best choice for you and vice versa
Be Clear and Concise:Make sure that the people reading your statement of purpose can easily retain the information you
have presented
Proofread:There is nothing worse than having spelling and grammar mistakes that can be easily avoided

Economic AnalysisPass the KSE General Scholarship Test (Math, Economics, English) on July 6th
Step 2
• Economics Part – 30 points• Mathematics Part – 30 points (the results of GRE test may be
counted as Math part of the Admission Test)
• English Language Part – 10 points (the results of TOEFL and
IELTS may be counted as English part)• Interview – 30 points
INTERVIEW
During your interview you should persuade the KSE admission officers that you are1) cognizant of KSE MA programs;2) intelligent; 3) interested in economics; 4) well-prepared academically and personally; 5) able to take on the challenges of the KSE MA
programs; 6) able to have rapport with professors and fellow
students; 7) able to finish the master’s degree in a timely
fashion; and8) a potentially outstanding representative of the
KSE MA programs in your future career.
