#NPLNSWCLUB WELCOME
We welcome all of our supporters, sponsors, players and officials to the Ilinden Sports
Centre for this crucial game against Manly United.
The competition is really starting to heat up and with only 7 games remaining every game is crucial. We enter this game following two very disappointing losses in a row. The boys are determined to turn things around against Manly. Our last two games against Manly have been thrilling games. Our last game was a highly entertaining 3-3 draw which had it all. So we look forward to the game knowing a win is crucial for our finals hopes, as well to secure valuable club championship points.
There is a lot happening at the club right now. Our annual raffle is now on sale, our Ilinden Ball is a month away, and we also have a mouth-watering FFA Cup showdown against Sydney FC to look forward to. Match details for that game are being finalised and will be distributed soon.
In September we also launch our off-season 6-a-side tournament, the Bayside 6’s.
But before all that, we need to get the win against Manly so we are counting on all of our loyal supporters to come on down and cheer the team on.
We would like to thank each of our sponsors for their support of the club. In particular:

NPLNSW.COM.AU 1ST GRADE MATCH PREVIEW
Rockdale City Suns will be out for victory on Sunday as they host Manly United on
Sunday.
Paul Reid’s side have lost two on the trot after starting the second half of the season with three straight wins.
Last week they were embarrassed 4-1 by APIA Leichhardt Tigers and will need three points against Manly to keep their finals hopes alive.
Manly United are in a similar predicament and last week’s 1-1 draw against Blacktown City wasn’t the result they would’ve been looking for.
Alec Urosevski goes from strength to strength this season and he netted once again in Round 16 for the Suns.
The winger is arguably the best in his position in the competition and will be tough to stop.
Manly defender Kieran Paull was the standout last round for the Northern Beaches based side and will be out for another big showing this week.
Paull’s crossing from the flanks created headaches for Blacktown and it wouldn’t be a surprise if Manly coach Paul Dee asks for a lot of the same this week.
With both teams fighting to keep their finals hopes alive expect this game to have plenty of twists and turns.

#NPLNSWMATCH REVIEWSAPIA Leichhardt Tigers 4 – Rockdale City Suns 1 at Lambert Park
A Jordan Murray hat-trick helped APIA Leichhardt Tigers to a 4-1 win over Rockdale City Suns at Lambert Park.
Tasuku Sekiya opened the scoring in the first half after good work by Corey Biczo, before Murray struck thrice to take his tally to 14 goals for the season.
Half-time substitute Toufic Alameddine scored a consolation for the visitors, but it was far too little, far too late.
The result cuts Sydney Olympic’s lead at the top of the table to four points and keeps APIA in with a fighting chance of snatching the premiership for the second straight year.
Manly United FC 1 – Blacktown City FC 1 at Cromer Park
Manly United and Blacktown City shared the points after an intriguing 1-1 draw at Cromer Park on Sunday afternoon.
In what was very much a game of two halves, Manly should have led by more than a single Dylan Macallister goal at the break.
However a second half Blacktown resurgence saw the visitors pull one back through Giorgio Speranza, before almost snatching an unlikely victory.
In a high quality contest, both sides experienced lengthy periods of possession but were unable to effectively capitalise upon chances created.
Both clubs are now four weeks without a win, but were provided with plenty of positives to focus on heading into the business end of the National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s season.

NPLNSW.COM.AU U20’S MATCH PREVIEW
Manly United travel to Illiden Sports Center on Sunday afternoon with just four points
to make up on fifth-placed Wollongong Wolves after a stunning victory over Blacktown City in Round 16.
Unbeaten in four matches, this weekend they take on a Rockdale City side which remains rooted to the bottom of the table, having slumped to a fourth-straight defeat at Lambert Park last Saturday.
These sides split the points between them when they met at Cromer Park in April, though a draw will do little for either now: Manly must win to keep up pressure on the Wolves ahead of them, while Rockdale face a fight to avoid finishing with the wooden spoon.
