Our Condolences to Jim Milks on the loss of his uncle, Dana Bantin, who unexpectedly passed away in Salamanca, NY, on Tuesday. Please keep the family in your prayers.
The Flowers Today are to celebrate and remember the life of Gladys Benfield, who passed away last January. There will be a memorial service this evening, Aug. 4, beginning at 7pm.
A Meal Train has been setup for Marianne and Raymond Krause, who moved here at the beginning of summer for Raymond's residency. They were expecting twins, but there were complications, and the babies were delivered last week at 23 weeks old. Please pray for this family who lost one of the babies, and the second, who is in NICU. Here is a meal train if you would like to show love and support: https://mealtrain.com/68697d.
Our Wacky Wednesday Finale is this Wednesday, Aug. 8 from 4-8pm (weather permitting). We'll have water slides for the kids, a food truck, clothing boutique, farmers market, and a movie on the lawn. Don't miss out on the last Wacky Wednesday of the summer.
Our Picnic at the Pool is coming up Sunday, Aug. 19 from 12pm-6pm at Kettering Rec Center (2900 Glengarry Drive, Kettering, OH). We'll be serving lunch from 12pm-3pm. To gain entrance, lunch,
and a free towel, you'll need a wristband and to arrive on Sunday before 3pm. Pick one up at the welcome desk, or at the office before the event. No wristbands will be given out at the picnic. For more information call the office at 937-298-2167.
Gospel Fest will follow our Picnic from 3pm-7:45pm at the Fraze Pavilion. This is an event put on by Kettering Health Network, and will feature local bands beginning at 3pm (doors open at 2:30pm) with a headlining performance by Natalie Grant. Don't miss this fantastic event.
Ministry Sign-Ups are coming up Aug. 25 and Sept. 8, from 9:30am-1pm. There are so many ways you can get involved in serving. Sign-ups will be available at the welcome desk, not just to volunteer, but also to learn how those ministries can and are actively serving you.
FirstServ & 2Serv is joining forces to present one joint service on Sept. 1 (more information regarding times to come). We'll also have our basement room's grand reopening on that day. Stay tuned for more information.
