INTRODUCTION
Teaching and Learning Guidebook is provided as a reference for teachers to generate
ideas, plan and execute a variety of teaching and learning activities. This guidebook is
also expected to help teachers to understand the requirements of the Content and
English Language which is organized in
the form of parts and units which contain elements of knowledge, skills and values.
Teaching and Learning Guidebook
In the teaching and learning, teachers can diversify approaches to achieve the
requirements of the Content and Learning Standards. Strategies as well as teaching
and learning activities in this booklet are only a suggestion. Teachers are encouraged
to use their own creativity to modify activities to suit the preparedness and ability of the
hearing impaired pupils.

By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to :
- sign correctly about hobbies – baking, sewing, gardening, collecting stamps
Activities
- Each pupils decorate their own cupcakes (creativity) - Question and answers between teacher and pupils.
a) Question: Who like baking? What do you like to do? When do you do? When do you do ……………?
- Name and describe the hobbies (ICT, EK2). Question and answers on each hobby.
- Guess the hobby: A pupil is given a picture card and signs the hobby
shown. The rest of the pupils pick out a picture card to match the sign shown.
Pupils play a game. Pupils are divided into two groups. Each group is given a set of picture and sign cards. Pupil

takes 2 cards. The 2 cards must match. If it doesn’t the card must put back at the same place. Pupils keep the sign and picture card if they match.
Cut and paste - pupils match the pictures with signs given.

o Teacher guides pupils to describe what they see and gives the sign to each hobby and asks these questions to guide them according to the hobby shown.
