YOUR INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCE

BE RESPONSIBLE

1. Be on Time.

2. Call the internship site if you are sick or unable to attend- Always communicate so that

the site knows what to expect3. Do your best work at the

internship site

Be a Positive Self Starter- Show InitiativeProject a positive attitude

Be enthusiastic about learning. Ask questions and show an interest in what you are doing

If you finish a job, look around to see what else needs to be done

Don’t wait to be told everything to do

Be a Communicator

Ask questions if you don’t understand

Let the workplace know about some of your specific work skills

Let the internship site know what you want to learn at the siteLet me know if you have any problems or concerns with your internship

ATTENTION:

IF YOU ARE AN UNPAID INTERN: You are covered by the Murray School District’s Worker’s Compensation Fund

YOU NEED TO BE TREATED AT ONE OF THE FACILITIES LISTED ON THE PINK LIABILITY CARD

If you seek medical treatment somewhere

other than a facility listed on the card, the district’s insurance policy WILL

NOT COVER THE EXPENSES.

You will need to pay for them yourself.
