Color Theory

• Color is determined by light waves.• Due to the biology of our eyes, humans can

only perceive three colors RBG (red-orange, blue-violet, and green).

• Technically we cannot see true “violet” light (ultra-violet rays).

Subtractive Color (Pigment - CMYK)

Magenta

Additive Color (Light - RGB)

Red-Orange Green

Blue-Violet

Complimentary Colors

Two colors opposite each other on the color wheel. Always includes one primary and one secondary color.
