Overview Before you install MetaQuery, ensure that the environment meets the minimum requirements.

The following table describes the installation prerequisites for MetaQuery:

MetaQuery

Minimum System Requirements Before you install MetaQuery, you will have to verify the following Minimum System Requirements:

• MetaQuery is supported on the following versions of Informatica: o Informatica 9.0 o Informatica 9.1 o Informatica 9.5 o Informatica 9.5.1 o Informatica 9.6 o Informatica 9.6.1 o Informatica 10.0 o Informatica 10.1

• MetaQuery is supported on: o Windows 2008 Server (32-bit and 64-bit) o Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 6 (32-bit and 64-bit) o Windows 2012 Server (64-bit) o Windows 7 (64-bit) [Please check Known Limitations section for this platform.] o Windows 10 (64-bit) [Please check Known Limitations section for this platform.]

• It requires a minimum of 4 GB RAM. • It requires x86 chipset.

Web Browser You can use the following browsers to access MetaQuery:

• Google Chrome • Internet Explorer 10.0 and later versions

[Internet Explorer 9 is supported but has a limitation of Package Import. For more information, see the Known Limitations section.]

• Microsoft Edge

Installation on Windows To install MetaQuery on Windows:

1. Verify that your environment meets the Minimum System Requirements. 2. Close all other applications before running the installation. 3. Extract the MetaQuery_Win64.zip on your local machine. 4. To start the installer, run the install.bat file. 5. The MetaQuery 5.0.0.0 Installer Welcome window begins the MetaQuery installation.

6. Choose the install folder and click Next.

7. The port numbers are installed as per default settings. Modify port numbers for Tomcat Configuration if required and click Next.

8. Enter Keystore file and password to enable HTTPS. (You could skip and configure this later). Click Next.

The Pre-Installation Summary page is displayed.

9. Click Install.

10. The installer copies the files for the selected components to the installation directory.

11. In the Install Complete window, user will see the following details:

• If the user selected HTTPS, the URL will start with HTTPS. • If the user selected HTTP, the URL will start with HTTP.

12. Click Done.

Installation on Linux To install MetaQuery on Linux:

1. Verify that your environment meets the Minimum System Requirements. 2. Close all other applications before running the installation. 3. Extract the MetaQuery_Lin64.zip on your local machine. 4. Assign execute permission on the Installer package.

Example: chmod -R 775 MetaQuery_Lin64 5. To start the installer, run the install.sh file. 6. The MetaQuery 5.0.0.0 Installer Welcome window begins the MetaQuery installation.

Click Enter.

7. Choose the install folder and enter Y.

8. The port numbers are installed as per default settings. Modify port numbers for Tomcat

Configuration if required and click Enter.

Enter.

Uninstalling MetaQuery

On Windows To uninstall MetaQuery on Windows, do one of the following:

• From the Start menu > Informatica MetaQuery, click Uninstall Informatica MetaQuery. • From the Control Panel > Programs & Features, select Informatica MetaQuery and uninstall.

On Linux To uninstall MetaQuery on Linux, stop the MetaQuery process and then delete the installation directory.

Known Limitations • Internet Explorer import package issue.

o Feature not supported in Internet Explorer 9. o Supported in Internet Explorer 10, 11, Microsoft Edge and latest versions of Google

Chrome and Mozilla FireFox. • Internet Explorer 11 logout session issue.

o Normal logout works smooth on all browsers. o Logout on reload has an issue in Internet Explorer 9, 10, 11. However, it works on

Informatica Edge. • Windows 7 and Windows 10, auto-restart issue.

o On uninstalling, system may restart without prompt. • Non-English character issues.

o On running a query and exporting the output in a CSV file, the non-English characters may not display in the CSV file.
