Set the date- No interruptions

- No students- Pick a day the school is closed

Make it FUN! - Bring in lunch

- Go off site- Go out for drinks afterwards

- Have out prizes for great brainstorming ideas

• Post-it flip chart & easel• Colored markers• Post-it notes• Room with walls or glass• Spacious area

Now let’s get started!!!• On flip chart write your first goal • Ask the individual team member to take a

post-it note and write ideas to achieve the goal. One idea per post it note.

• Collect the post – it’s from all members• Take a minute to sort post it’s into

categories (many will be duplicates) • Great ideas become your action items

Action items!!!• Under the goal write one idea at a time• Brainstorm as a group• What needs to be done to achieve this

action item and accomplish the goal• Write ideas on flip chart• Assign who is taking responsibility • Assign a due date
