We are pleased to submit implementation report of ICNA Relief CANADA funded
Ramadan/Food Package 2013 (1434 H). Under this program about 900 deserving
families (150 KPK, 200 Punjab, 200 AJK, 150 Sindh &200 Khawateen) were
provided food packages.
We extend our thanks and appreciation for your support in providing relief to the
distressed people of Pakistan because it was indeed a remarkable contribution.
This report will provide details regarding implementation strategy and process of
Ramadan Relief Program.

Sharing joy and Happiness of Ramadan/Eid with poor people
Goal: To provide relief to underprivileged and deprived segment of
population.
Estimated Cost: PKR 2,000 (C$ 21.28)

BACKGROUND:
Majority of poor & destitute people are facing severe scarcity of food stuff (flour, rice, pulses
and edible oil) in Pakistan. In Ramadan, people usually need meal two times (sahoor & Iftar) a
day. Al-Khidmat Foundation Pakistan has initiated to provide the food commodities to the
deprived people who are unable to manage the daily meals in Ramadan. Al-Khidmat
Foundation provides an opportunity to all those who want to be a source of happiness for
deserving and deprived community in Pakistan.
RAMADAN PROJECT ACTIVITIES:
- Under Ramadan Relief Program funded by ICNA Relief CANADA, food packages were
distributed among 900 deserving poor families in different areas of Pakistan.
- Each package was enough for two weeks (approximate) consumption of a medium size
family.
- This program has helped the families in fulfilling their food needs in the holy month of
Ramadan.

IMPLEMENTATION STRATEGY:
o Food packages were distributed in five administrative units of Pakistan.
o A criterion for selection of beneficiary was designed to ensure the provision of the
facility to poor / needy families and households which are run by widows.
o Relief Cards were issued to the beneficiaries prior to distribution and packages were
provided to each relief card holder at the distribution program.
o Food was mostly packed in bags/carton printed with donor’s logo.
o Proper arrangements were made for donor’s visibility and publicity.
o Banners and other publicity material were used during packing, loading and distribution
process.
o Distribution ceremonies were attended by Al-Khidmat representatives & other
dignitaries of the area.
